Marketing photos ready for take off
Jason Gillis came to me with a problem I was determined to solve. His new business and its website were up and running but he was ready to take them to the next level. In order to do so he really needed some high-quality photos of his facility and its services. The problem? His business, Launch Club, is focused on improving a golf player’s swing and performance through the use of an indoor simulator. And while I had more than two decades of experience getting golf action photos on the course the indoor setup is worlds apart. With a darkened room and a very bright screen the subject matter isn’t without its challenges, but with some planning I knew we would be able to get the marketing photos Gillis desired.
“I called Dan (at Anthologie) and not only did he take the time to understand my needs on the phone but he drove 45 minutes to tour my space and make sure he could help me out before we ever got started,” Gillis said. “As a business owner, that quality of care and service is important and really helped differentiate Anthologie from other photo studios.”
In addition to photos that created an elevated look and a more cohesive brand image, Gillis wanted his audience to see the club as a respite during cold Minnesota winters. There were features missing from the previous website photography, including how members utilize an app to schedule a tee time and how they can work on their game no matter what Mother Nature has in store.
And while golf is the centerpiece of the business there’s a lot of entertainment opportunities for Launch Club as well. The space boasts 2 rooms each with a 10-by-20-foot projection screen, golf radar, sound system and additional monitors. Gillis wanted photos that showed his audience Launch Club is a blank canvas for parties and special events for all ages. To that end he opted to have Anthologie create a full image library, including made-to-order photos he can implement for his marketing needs at any time, including images of kids and adults using the space for more than just polishing their golf swings.
